1. This animation shows a story line of competition at a party. We think this fits the assignment in the way that it is a concept or idea. 2. Frank made this visually interesting by showing conversation and activity in stick figure form. 3. In order to improve this animation he could have crumpled the papers or shaped the papers in a way to show emotion or mood. The angry stick figures could maybe even bash heads. 4. He shows a simple and interesting view point of competitiveness between men in a social scene. The idea is cool and could have a lot of depth.
I like the way the figures turn into scribbles at the end. I also like the way they move as a formation out of the screen. I can't quite read the text in the bubbles... and is there text on the connecting strips? I'm not sure the concept is coming across yet. However, I love the idea of crumpling the paper, or otherwise adding something three dimensional, playing with the idea of the paper. It might be fun to use something other than paper, or in addition to paper.. toy solders, or some other dollar store toy?
