When thinking about my sound project, i thought of what i could illustrate in my viewers mind; rather listeners a scene or picture in their heads without them visually seeing it. This thinking lead to my search of what are the essential things to our everyday lives.
During this search it hit me; no matter what we do in life one thing we are always conscious about is time. in everything we do, we always keep any eye on this man made phenomenon, we plan out day around it, we try to keep up with it. The average person check their phone, wrist watch or some type of time piece every two minuets. so my project is going to illustrate the scene of preparing for a day and what most people tend to do for rituals before leaving for whatever they have to do.
I start my project with the passing of a train with an alarm intersecting that sound, then right after that the character in my piece yawns after a short pause of silence. Immediately after there is a play of speed in the daily routine of this persons. Taking a shower, brushing their teeth, dry their hair and before they know it; the time for leaving to start the day as already arrived and the person has to head out for their day.
