Kaila Fearey Sound Project

My goal for this project was to create a scene of my family preparing for a dinner party, which they are constantly doing. To me it is very obvious when they are setting up, that they are having people over. My parents are usually doing a million things at once. There becomes a feeling of chaos while cleaning and washing dishes with water running and vacuums going. Some of the other water running sounds remind me of my dad rushing to shower with extremely loud pressure before the guests arrive. My mom is always chopping and setting the table, always double tasking. The clinking glasses could be depicted literally as cheersing at the dinner table, something my family commonly does, or of clinking of glasses when doing the dishes or putting dishes away. The clinking could also be heard as a dinner bell ringing, like my grandmother used to do when my dad was young. These sounds are all examples of what I am used to hearing when my family is hosting a dinner party.
